Perimeter Wall System

General Information

The Perimeter Wall system is elegantly designed, incredibly flexible and quite strong. Installation is simple: wall uprights install into pre-notched wall angles that can me mounted to almost any wall surface.

Usage

Because of its mounting design, the Perimeter Wall system can be mounted to almost any straight wall surface including drywall, concrete or brick. When mounting to drywall, use 1x4" wood blocking in front of your wall to mount to studs. The Perimeter Wall angle will then completely hide the wood blocking, eliminating the need to block your wall from behind.

Flexibility

Designed to accommodate OPTO's full line of 24"W and 48"W accessories, including Standard, Rail, Post, and Perforated Panel accessories (with optional back panels). Perimeter Wall uprights can be spaced apart at either 25" or 50" O.C. and can be moved without removing any mounting hardware from the wall.

Perimeter Wall uprights are available in 7'-1" and 8'-6" heights, with 30", 36", 42" and 48" upright extensions available.

Installation

Installation is simple. Perimeter Wall angles are mounted to the wall, and wall uprights snap into place.

Specifying

To figure how many Perimeter Wall modules will fit in your space, use the following formulas. A "module" refers to the merchandising wall span between two uprights.
  • For 25" module applications, take the length of your wall in inches, subtract 6, and divide by 24.875.
  • For mixed-module applications, use the formula above and count each 50" module as two 25" modules.
  • For 50" module applications, take the length of your wall in inches, subtract 6, and divide by 49.75.

48"-wide accessories can be used in both 25" and 50" modules. When used on 25" modules, the 48"-wide accessories will span over the middle wall upright. 24"-wide accessories can only be used on 25" modules. Also, Post accessories can be attached to a single upright, creating a focal shelf.
